Wowee, we won!

So, in amazing news, ‘Our Home, Our Heartbeat’ was selected as Children’s Picture Book of the Year at the 2021 Australian Book Industry Awards! So, I can finally say that I am an award winning illustrator, which certainly feels strange! So grateful to the author Adam Briggs, fellow illustrator Rachael Sarra, editor Pooja Desai and all the good folks at Hardie Grant. What an absolute thrill and honour to have our work recognised in this way!

BIG NEWS: 'Our Home, Our Heartbeat' shortlisted for picture book of the year!

In another thrilling turn of events, Briggs’s ‘Our Home, Our Heartbeat’ (illustrated by myself and Rachael Sarra and publised by Hardie Grant Publishing) has been shortlisted at the Australian Book Industry Awards for Picture Book of the Year (Ages 0-6)!

This is such huge and exciting news, and I am so honoured that our book is being considered alongside the other amazing contenders.

UPDATE: 'Our Home, Our Heartbeat' is an Australian bestseller!

So, in an incredible turn of events, ‘Our Home, Our Heartbeat’ has become an Australian bestseller! It is a beautiful and moving book that is packed full of information about influential and inspiring indigenous Australians. I couldn’t be more thrilled to have gotten the chance to work with Briggs, Rachael Sarra and Hardie Grant Publishing to bring it to life. It’s available now through the publisher, or wherever good books are sold.
